This is after Christmas and the room is pretty much done!  Here is the bridge completed and you can see we had a sunny day.
Here are the cabinets all put together and part of the ceiling fan is showing.
The motorized blind is in the skylight.  It works a bit slow but it really is nice now that Steve got it all to fit just right.
The cabinets in the island don't have backs on them.  So they are put together and we put the shelves at the same height.   I can store long rolls of stabilizer or fabric.  It works great for some of my longer notions and craft tools.
The room is finished!  Well, as much as it can be right now.  The furniture is in, the blinds are up and I even have some baskets on top of the cabinets.  I still need blinds for the large windows on top but I will have to make those myself.
I painted the door burgundy.  I have future plans for covering the large glass in the door.  You can also see one of my cutting tables.
This view shows the north wall of my room.  Most of my equipment is mobile.  I can move it to wherever I want in the room.
I really like my built-in ironing board.  It was actually the first thing I bought for the new room.  It was pretty much the last thing to get finished too.  Here is how it folds up to fit.  It is recessed inside the wall and only sticks out a couple of inches when the door is closed.
The model I got has a spot light and the ironing board can be set up in 2 heights.  The lowest setting is just right for me to sit at my machine nearby and quickly scoot over to get a quick press on my fabric.  I leave it set up so that when the light is on, I know my iron is on.  When I shut off the main switch to the unit, the light goes off and the iron is off too.
Here I have it set at the top position and swiveled around.  I like the fact that I can iron on it any direction I want.  I can swivel it so that the ironing board "points" to the right too if I want it to go that direction.  Guess it would be good for lefties.  I can leave my travel tote right under there and it doesn't get in my way while I am ironing.
My husband built me the thread rack sitting on the floor.  It folds up when I want and it holds 40 spools.  I had him number each peg so that it is easy to see which color I am on when stitching out those big designs.  This machine is under the skylight.
