I found these fans on the Internet and bought them at the Dan's Fans store nearest to us (Lansing).  They look pretty dark in this picture.  They are a deep shade of burgundy.
The recessed lighting in the bridge works great in the work area under the west windows.  The stereo equipment is inside the cabinet on the left with the CD player on the cabinet top.  Works great to have the remote control available even with the rest of the equipment hidden.
I LOVE hummingbirds!  I found these beautiful area rugs at Penny's online and had to have them in all sizes.  They go great with my colors in the room.  They do tend to attract the thread pieces though.
My cutting table is on wheels and can be pulled out into the room more when I have a big project to work on.  In this picture I have the back wing down but I can easily open it to make it even bigger.  Bob put on some peg board (plastic) on the front right side.  He is going to also put it on the other side so I can hang more of my tools.  I have all my Material Setters hanging right here so I can easily use them for hooping up those big designs.  I have many of my Sulky threads in these rolling carts that easily tuck under my cutting table.
The oak door and the plate below the door still need to be stained but that will wait until later in the year when the door can be outside to air out when it is stained.
Here is a view looking down the length of the island.  Even the island could be moved to a new location if we wanted to do such a thing.  It is very stable and I know I can't move it!
Here are a couple of the cabinets open so you can see some of my fabric and supplies.  I really like being able to easily see what I have!  The shelves are deep but easy for me to see and get to what I want.  Maybe some day I will organize my fabrics by color.
I have two of the beautiful wooden Madeira thread boxes.  These hold ALL of the threads.  They are back to back on the end of my island.  One is poly and one is rayon.  My basket here contains all of my small Sulky thread spools.  I am using the bulletin board on the wall to help me figure out my colors for my projects.
Another one of my mobile stands.  I have 3 of them for my 3 large embroidery machines.  My other cutting table is to the left.
I have a couple of cubicles under this table that hold my bolts of stabilizers.  My rotary cutters and markers are here too.  I have my templates inside the bookcase but you can't see them because they are hiding behind the soft Gazebo Scene pillow.
Here is the other cabinet that often sits under the counter on the west side.  It easily opens up like the others and I can put my D1 on there or one of my sergers.  I still haven't made up my mind if I want to put an electrical outlet in the floor for this at the end of the island.
