Here is a dress I made for my Great-niece, Emma.  It is made from cotton velveteen.  I used cotton lace on the sleeves.

This is the dress that I made partially on my serger and almost ran over a pin.  Good thing it stopped and wouldn't let me go over the pin!

Here is a close up of the pleating that my daughter and I did on the dress.  The smocking is subtle.  I used a golden Madeira rayon thread color for the smocking.

Here is a close up of the sleeve area.

Here is Emma in her new dress on Christmas Eve.  She wasn't really happy to put it on but soon went off to play.

Here is a picture of Emma with Jeanine (my daughter).  They are playing with some of the toys they got for Christmas.
